Background and Experience

Alan has worked in all roles as a commercial real estate broker: buyer, seller, developer, landlord rep and tenant rep. His primary focus, however, is retail real estate. Some of the retail projects he has been involved with include the Oakway Center, Whole Foods, Crossroads Center, Valley River Plaza, Chambers Media Center, Coburg Station, several Walgreen’s, Garden Valley Shopping Center and the Pavilion on Coburg.

Alan also has extensive non-profit experience. He helped to found and was the first chair of the Arts and Business Alliance of Eugene — a unique partnership of the City of Eugene, Lane Community College, University of Oregon, Travel Lane County and the City of Eugene. He was the President of Eugene Opera and vice chair of the Oregon Bach Festival.

Alan is married to Tamara Evans, who formerly worked in non-profit arts administration. Alan and Tamara live in Fall Creek, where they take care of their property complete with horses, cats, and dogs. He has one son, Michael, who lives in Portland with his wife Jessica and grandson Charlie Roscoe.
