During his thirty years in the business Alan has brokered and directed all types of commercial real estate transactions. He represents tenants, landlords, sellers and buyers. Alan has served as a developer both for personal projects and as a fee developer for clients. Alan’s primary focus is the retail market where he represents numerous property owners in the area including the Oakway Center, Santa Clara Square, The Crossroads Center, Garden Valley Shopping Center and The Pavilion on Coburg. He has successfully completed transactions with major retailers including Best Buy, Trader Joe’s, Staples, Borders, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Pier One, TJ Maxx , Bi-Mart, Safeway, Wal-Mart, and Albertson’s.

Background & Experience
Alan moved to Eugene in 1971, His early job experiences included owning a restaurant, government work and forestry. He started in residential real estate in 1978. By the early 1980’s, he found that he enjoyed the challenges of commercial real estate and made the transition from residential to commercial. Alan enjoys the complexity of commercial real estate and its resultant challenges. He believes that the relationships he has built and nurtured over the years are, without a doubt, the most rewarding part of the business.
Community Service
Alan has a passion for the Arts. He believes the Arts are an asset to the community. He has served as a board member for Eugene Opera, Oregon Bach Festival, and the Oregon Community Foundation. Currently, Alan serves on the Steering Committee of for the Arts and Business Alliance of Eugene, and the Board of Directors of Summit Bank and Next Step Recycling.
Family
Alan is married to Tamara Evans and they have a thirty year old son, Michael who presently lives in New York City. Alan and Tamara have a ranch in Fall Creek where Tamara is an avid horse enthusiast and Alan can engage in his interests in forestry and gardening.

Jeff Elder has a background in commercial real estate that covers most all areas of the business. This includes the sale and leasing of retail, office and industrial properties, plus project and property development activity.
Education
Jeff graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University.
Background & Experience
Jeff began his real estate career immediately upon graduation from Oregon State. The real estate field gave Jeff the opportunity to develop a professional career without limitations. He developed his career based on integrity and hard work. A work ethic inherited from his father keeps his drive going every day. Jeff is not content resting on his previous accomplishments.
He has been recognized by his peers as Eugene’s Realtor of the Year, President of the Broker’s Million Dollar Club, President of Multiple Listing Service, and President of Eugene Board of Realtors.
Jeff has had first-hand experience in all areas of his work. He has owned and managed retail, office, and residential income properties, and developed and constructed retail projects, apartment projects, and land development projects. Jeff has a comprehensive understanding of what needs to happen in each successful transaction and project.
Jeff believes in doing a job the right way. This attention to detail takes more time, but he gets it right the first time and you can count on it being professionally completed. Hard work and staying on top of his business are his top priorities.
Jeff Elder has been very involved in community charitable groups. For 11 years, he co-managed the Oregon Classic, an annual PGA golf tournament in Lane County which has raised gifts to local charities of over $2,000,000. He has been an integral part of fund-raising for O’Hara Catholic School, Children’s Miracle Network, Boy Scouts of America, Volunteers in Medicine, Marist High School, and the Relief Nursery.

Jeff and Molly have two children, a son working in San Diego and a daughter at University of San Diego. His family is his greatest pleasure. Golf and skiing usually occupy any free time

JOHN BROWN

John’s 28 years as a real estate appraiser have given him expertise in all property types, including commercial, industrial, multi-family and special purpose properties. He is experienced in all aspects of real estate, including sales, leasing, development options, and alternative use considerations.
Background & Experience
John started his career in commercial real estate appraisal in 1977. From 1990 to 2005, he was the principal in the firm of Duncan & Brown, a Eugene-based real estate appraisal and consulting firm, which practices throughout the state of Oregon.
In 1985 John earned the MAI designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute. On numerous occasions, he has testified as an expert witness in Federal, Circuit, Tax, and Bankruptcy Courts in the State of Oregon. He has authored numerous surveys which are widely regarded as local benchmarks for market trends. Additionally, he has been a guest lecturer at the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, and the Oregon Department of Revenue.
John has actively participated in the Eugene Police Commission (past Chair); Southtowne Rotary; the HIV Alliance Board of Advisors; Downtown Safety Task Force; Eugene Water & Electric Board; and Lane Metro Partnership.
John’s passion is the outdoors, including fishing, skiing, tennis, and camping. He’s dedicated to protecting the local environment and has worked to ensure clean waterways. He’s particularly invested in the preservation of clean drinking water issues.
Personal
John has lived in Eugene for his entire life and has been married since 1973 to Cathy Rodman Brown, a former teacher in District 4J. He served in the US Army, with a tour of duty in Vietnam. Cathy and John have two grown children; John J., his wife, Nami, and two grandchildren who are living in Eugene, and Brian who is living in Portland.

Stephanie became a licensed broker in 2000 and has experience in all areas of commercial real estate including office, retail and industrial leasing and sales.
Education
Stephanie attended Southern Oregon University where she graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing. After graduation, she moved to Eugene where she attended Lane Community College, receiving an Associates of Applied Arts Degree in Graphic Design.
Background & Experience
Stephanie is a native Oregonian. She was born and raised in the small coastal community of Florence, Oregon where her family had deep roots dating back four generations. Stephanie’s strong work ethic comes from her life-long involvement in various family businesses.
In 1999, Stephanie began working at Evans, Elder & Brown, Inc. (formerly Prichard, Evans & Elder, Inc.) where she became a licensed broker in 2000. In 2008, Stephanie became a partner at Evans Elder & Brown, Inc.
Stephanie understands the importance of working hard to create and maintain healthy relationships with clients and peers throughout the community.
Whether the transaction is large or small, Stephanie’s attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and drive to get the job done right has been an integral part of her success. Stephanie believes it is important to build long-lasting business relationships. She works hard to create a positive experience for all parties involved in each transaction.
Stephanie is a graduate of the 2007 - 2008 Leadership Eugene-Springfield class, which is sponsored jointly by the Eugene and Springfield Chambers of Commerce. The comprehensive leadership development program is designed to give volunteer leaders the skills and information they need to effectively serve the community. She has also served on the Steering Committee for the program.

Stephanie has lived in Eugene since 1994 where she and her husband Chris enjoy raising their twins, Jackson & Hannah who were born on Christmas day in 2003.
Stephanie spends her free time socializing with family and friends, running and playing volleyball.

JOHN ERVING

John has experience in all segments of commercial real estate, including leasing and sales involving industrial properties, office buildings, retail centers, income properties, development land, and 1031 exchanges. John has successfully advocated for clients in reduction of property tax values and argued before the Board of Property Tax Appeal. Recent transaction highlights include the acquisition of a $15,000,000 multi-tenant office park and the purchase and re-development of the former Valley River theater site.

John graduated from the University of Oregon in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Background & Experience
John went to work immediately after graduation as a Management Consultant for Beta Theta Pi Fraternity in Oxford, Ohio where he had the opportunity to work with undergraduate students, alumni and administrators on association management, motivational workshops and conflict resolution at over 60 universities and colleges across the country.
John returned to Eugene in 1996 when his future in-laws invited him into the family business - a franchise of Burger King. After working through the ranks of restaurant management, John became a franchise owner and eventually oversaw all aspects of an 11 unit operation in Lane, Douglas, and Coos counties. It was in this capacity that John learned the challenges and benefits of business ownership and paved the way toward a career in real estate. After closing non-performing stores and investing in profitable units, the business was sold and a new chapter in life began.
John’s business connections in the community and a reputation for attention to detail and confidentiality landed him at Evans, Elder & Brown, Inc., immediately after obtaining his license in 2007. He has applied his experience and skill to a career that is a perfect match for his abilities, resulting in surpassed expectations for his clients. John will always put the interests of his clients first and ensure that they meet their financial and personal goals in all real estate matters.
Past and present extra-curricular activities include volunteer work with Volunteers In Medicine, The Relief Nursery, and coaching for Kids Sports. John is a former board member of the Eugene Executive’s Association.

Originally from Palo Alto, California, John married his college sweetheart and Eugene resident, Jeannine Eberly. Their children are Mary Jane, age 10, and Grant, age 7. When not attending the kids’ numerous activities, John enjoys travel, golf and Duck athletics.
